Increased sensitivity to infant needs and signals. Helps child to form secure attachment style which in turn helps with social development. Parents who are mind minded treat their children as individuals with minds rather than creatures with physical needs. Only 30% of time must parent be sensitive for child to develop secure. Mind minded parents are likely to act as if babys vocalisations are an attempt attachment to communicate. Engage in appropriate talk with their baby commenting on what the baby may be feeling or thinking. Assume that their children can understand and gain from conversations about mental states.
