Task must have clear goals with immediate feedback about progress being made. Personality defined in terms of: traits : Usually measured by observing behaviors or by self-reports, questionnaires. People are different because they have different amounts of the same core personality traits or factors. Personality made up of 3 core traits. Personality made up of 16 core traits more recently, five factors theory of personality. People have differing amounts of each of 5 independent traits: Neuroticism: is the tendency to experience negative emotions such as anxiety, guilt, sadness, and anger. Extraversion: is the tendency to be externally oriented. Openness: is the willingness to experience new and different things. Agreeableness: tendency to be cooperative and caring toward other people. Conscientiousness: tendency to be responsible and disciplined.
