Professional peace workers often differ from ordinary people, then, not in what they do so much as what they do so much ad in the self-awareness and levels of skill they bring to their jobs. Disagreements persist in peace studies over how much emphasis should be placed on inner peace and personal well-being. No one disputes that micro level violence; especially suicide is by far the largest source of violence in most countries year after year. Inner peace: more often associated with a special type of religious or spiritual understanding. Best known careers associated with peace studies: counselors, psychologists, psychiatrists, public mental health workers and social workers who aim to increase levels of personal peace. Careers associated with religious or spiritual peace that encourages inner peace- martial arts, meditation, and yoga instructor. Personal and inner peace workers specialize in assisting people with careers in peacemaking, peacebuilding, and peace keeping.
