Helps you make sense of everyday life. We tell stories through speech and action: how you learn your worldview. The stories we tell create the world we live in. All social actions have a communicative aspect. Stories establish our identities: i am a man , that aspect of the cultural system in which we show ourselves to ourselves . People send stories about what it means to be a man in said society. Based on what people say and observations . Stories do not equal reality: objective reality can be very different from the stories. Contrasting worldviews: shakespeare in the bush.
