Didn"t want to conduct foreign policy like europe with balance of power politics. +thought it would get them involved in too many international conflicts. Wanted a new constitution because there was too much fighting between the states and people didn"t want the union to split u. Needed to centralize the military under one command because there were fourteen armies during the revolution that didn"t cooperate well. People also didn"t want the military to be easily deployed so they wanted to make it hard to declare war. +that way they couldn"t fight in europe easily. We will focus on the separation of powers. +not the judiciary because they either say it"s a political question which they won"t get involved in, there isn"t any standing so the case is thrown out and the issue is declared moot. Article 2, section 1: the president is the chief executive and is in charge of enforcing and administering the law.
