The persistence of gender ideologies: our adherence to gender ideologies no longer fits the world around us, contradiction: Many men feel they cannot fail, yet also bump, into obstacles: gender ideologies about husband/wife earning are in flux. Reports: inappropriate for wives to earn more. Would quit or reduce hours if wife worked more. The persistence of gender discriminaton in the workplace: discrimination.
