Reporting- journal; outlet for your research; we should share, but only significant results are ever reported. Replicate- better if many researchers find same results. Observing people or animals in natural environemnts. Pros: seeing what people naturally do in their own environment. Observer effects- people or animals act differently when watches. Observer bias- tendency to see what they want to see. Allows researchers to observe people and animals in controlled environment. Cons: artificial setting may not recreate how the person or animal may truly react. Pros: learn about certain phenomena, getting info about only one case, detailed information may not be gathered otherwise.
