Seeking out help from others- we do better. Ppl who repress and avoid issues feel worse than those who tackle it head on and deal w the aftermath so they can move on. Get into, get out of, or prolong a good mood. Same three options apply to a bad mood. We regulate our emotions based on situations. Allowing situations to dictate how we engage. In general, research shows that men and women are more similar than different. Men more likely to use alc, women use food. Human society requires the ability to regulate ones emotional. Some regulation is good to a degree reactions to the same degree. Emotions shape our behaviors and are accompanied by physiological arousal. Emotions can affect our lives, actions and performance.
