Alcohol is the independent (the one that changes) The way they drive is the dependent (the one that does or does not get influenced: control: One should keep all of the thought to be possible influencing factors the same for all groups except for the independent variable. Must keep everything the same unless if you think it doesn"t affect the dependent variable: (each experimenter has to decide what he think will have an influence on the dependent variable or not)
