From hunter-gatherers to farmers the neolithic revolution. The natufian culture: continued for about 2,000 years, took place at the very end of the last ice age, first complex culture. 12,000 10,000 epi-paleothic period or mesolithic (middle stone age) Neolithic revolution did not happen over night but was an extremely long process. Not apart of the neolithic but very close. Natufia(cid:374) (cid:374)a(cid:373)e co(cid:373)es fro(cid:373) a site called (cid:862)wadi e(cid:374)-natuf type site(cid:863) first discovered the natufia(cid:374) people, therefore they named them the natufians. Type site = first site where a culture is discovered and where it gets its name. Carmel caves = natufians also lived in caves. A lot of artifacts of the natufian people is found in the carmel caves. Einan = north of the sea of galilee, part of the natufian culture. Preserved because they were not open air sites, but hidden in caves and in buildings as well as in high elevation in mountains.
