Fire:: rapid oxidation process with the evolution of heat and light. For a fire to occur, you need a heat source, fuel, and an act to bring the two together. These 3 combined make the fire triangle: fuel, temperature, oxygen. We can have 3 different types of fuel: solid, liquid, and vapor. Usually vapor is the only one that burns. Thats why is takes a lot to get wood to catch fire. Flashpoint of a fuel is a temperature at which the fuel turns into a liquid, and the temperature gives off enough vapor to start a fire. The fire point is hotter than the flashpoint, the firepoint is the point that makes the fire catch and be able to sustain itself. The oxidizing agent is any kind of electron acceptor, but oxygen is the most common. Can be either a complete combustion, or an imcomplete combustion reaction. When burns completey, creating a limited number of products.
