In both the development of the farm tractor and tank, there was a division of opinion. What is better: big wheels with tires or metal treads?. Why did big wheels with tires win in the farm field and metal treads win on the battlefield. ? (10 points) There are different attributes to both usage of wheels with tires of metal threads. As of the wheels with tires, the advantages are low production cost, faster speed, easy maneuverability, simplicity as fewer components get damaged. The disadvantages of wheels with tires, it would be driving over obstacles. For instance, depending on the terrain, the tractor has to pass large or small obstacles. For a wheel to get over a high vertical obstacle, it has to be at least twice as tall as the vertical obstacle.
