Document Summary
Last time we began looking at impression evidence, focusing on treads. Impression- one of the mediums is going to typically be soft. This is typically considered to be class evidence. A distributed amount of work and energy across a medium. Today we are going to look at two other sets of common impression evidence: skin and tool marks. It can be transferred into the skin (ex: falling asleep on a sweatshirt) or transferred into the object (ex: car accident) May be transferred from or to a surface. Skin tends to be the softer medium. Has 2 properties: has elasticity (allows it to pick up impression) and uv light. Snow day - baby went to daycare, was laid down in a crib with a mobile. The baby was struggling all of a sudden, then the little brother tried to help, but he couldn"t so he called the babysitter.
