Last time we took at look at fingerprints and we saw. Fingerprints are impression evidence because of the oil and dirt on our hands (clean hands don"t leave fingerprints) We can gas or dust (traditional) for prints. You can collect prints off of all sorts of materials, including bodies. We can use prints to identify someone that was in contact with the body and to identify the body itself. Everyday, over 80,000 firearm sales happen in the us everyday. Today we are going to move on to one final type of impression evidence: firearms. Technically, a gun refers to something on the front of a battleship. Firearms are a specific part of this. We talk about the tool that created the moving body (firearm) We either have a bullet vs. shot. Shot = english component of metric vs. american idea. Shot = lead balls that are packed into a compartment. Not super accurate, but just generally peppering an area.
