Then there"s continuous friction with parent up to adulthood years. Rebellious, delinquent peer influences lead to violence, substance abuse, etc. Peers lead kids to violence, substance abuse, sexual involvement etc. A difficult identity crisis as youth try to find themselves. Kids go through a difficult identity crisis . There"s agony & pondering about what am i going to do & where do i belong. Sexuality rears its ugly head owing to raging hormones . Idea that once kids hit puberty, their brains are fried. Idea that adolescence is a period of self - absorption. Conflict is strongest on lifestyle issues (clothing, hair, music, etc. ) There is conflict that increases between adolescence & parents. Behavioral choice (how do you use your time?)
