A meta-analysis was conducted to test the effects of yoga intervention on subjects diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus by analyzing 12- randomized control trials. Trials were selected with outcomes focused on fasting blood glucose, hba1c, total cholesterol, triglycerides, postprandial blood glucose, hdl-cholesterol, and ldl-cholesterol levels. This meta-analysis looked into many studies that claim yoga to be effective in reducing the effects of type 2 diabetes and summarized the results in a way that shows that yoga be beneficial.
