Withdrawal symptoms headache & fatigue mostly for 24-48 hours. Mild tolerance may be developed in response to some of the effects of caffeine. Everyone has a different tolerance to caffeine (some people think of the word coffee & can"t sleep) Another study: tolerance occurs in part b/c the brain quickly develops more adenosine receptors to compensate for those blocked by the caffeine molecule. By resetting or preventing caffeine tolerance, a dose of about 100-200 mg will produce the effects described above once again. The key is to avoid habitual caffeine consumption.
