One of the most important one"s, was the wooden machine. It was a wooden cart made for women. Men on the beach were allowed so be seen in bathing clothes, but for women, is was not allowed. The cart was made for women to change their clothes. It was driven into the sea, and when you were far and deep enough, you could open it to take a swim, it was pushed forward by a horse or manpower.
