More than 60 kids have moved into higher education. Global perspective: today in the world there are almost 1 billion non literate adults 2. 3 of non literate adults are women. Reasons behind gender disparity: when expected return to sending daughters to school do not exceed the costs of doing so, female education as an investment becomes unattractive to parents, poverty. The cost can involve tuition, miscellaneous school charges, learning materials, transportation, boarding fees, uniforms, private tuition/coaching and so on. Some of these out of pocket expenses can be greater for girls than for boys: social and cultural: Opportunity cost: household work, agricultural and other work, safety (while going, male teacher), concern about marriage, doubting school"s job .
