Attachment: definition: a close emotional bond between two people, important in early childhood, most critical in first year or two, but still develops after that, affects child later in life if not developed thoroughly, early behavioral theory: Thought infants were attached to their mothers because the mothers fed them: videos: classic harlow monkey experiments. When scared, monkey became attached to mother with cloth, not the mother with food, because it was contact comfort: bowlby -- internal working model of attachment.
