following dates:
Quiz 1 Wednesday, September 26, 2018
Quiz 2 Wednesday, October 24, 2018

reason, there is no need to let me know. There are no make-up quizzes.
Online Assignments (worth 4%)
There will be nine online assignments. The online assignments are designed as an opportunity for
you to develop your problem solving skills. The expectation is that you will complete the
assignments individually. Assignments will become available on the section-specific Canvas site on
Wednesdays at 4:00 pm and are due at 11:59 pm on the following Monday. You will have three
attempts for each assignment; the questions will be different for each attempt. Your best result
submitted by the due date will be used to determine your grade. Any assignments submitted after
the deadline will not count toward your total grade.
Note: There will NOT be Online Assignments posted on Sep 5, Oct 3, or Nov 7.
iClicker Responses (worth 1%)
Register your iClicker on the course website. In lecture, you will be asked to respond to questions
using your iClicker. It is expected that students are in control of their own iClicker. Responses will
be marked for participation only. If you respond to 80% of the iClicker questions, you will receive
full credit for iClicker responses. This 80% threshold is designed to allow for occasions such as
missed lectures, forgotten iClickers, and iClicker malfunctions.
