Document Summary

What does it mean to act morally/ be a moral person. We have rational knowledge which opposes empirical knowledge. Rational knowledge: he thinks that somehow we can know something not through our senses. One that deals with the world and its objects ( nature) He wants to focus exclusively on the rational part of what we know about morality. When you look at objects, there is a component about what you know about these things through your senses. But your senses do not take into account all of the knowledge you have about it. He wants to say a similar thing about morality. You may learn what is right or wrong through school, family, friends etc But there is also something you know about morality irrespective of the other influences. The content that you use does not matter, it is the concept/idea that does. You do not get to see, touch, smell etc logical connection.
