PSYC 210 Lecture Notes - Missing Data, Frequency Distribution, Histogram
Document Summary
Lecture 2 : displaying and describing data, part 1. Aim of data analysis is to summarize and organize data. Relative frequency: gives us the proportion of participants in our sample who obtained a particular value. (fr = f / n) Percentage frequency: gives the percentage of participants who obtained a particular value. Cumulative frequency: denotes the number of participants who scored at or below (lesser) a particular value. Cumulative relative frequency: it denotes the proportion of participants who scored at or below a particular value. Cumulative percentage frequency: it denotes the percentage of participants who scored at or below a particular value. The grouped frequency distribution: it is that the researcher must choose intervals such that values of the intervals are not overlapping and such that the intervals make practical sense given the data. How to transfer from frequency distribution table to histogram.
