Mushrooms are a common ingredient found in many households. They come in a variety of types and can be consumed in many forms, making them a very versatile vegetable when it comes to cooking. While being low in calories and fat, mushrooms also have several nutritional benefits, making them a healthy addition to anyone"s diet. Based on provided data collected in the year 2020, the harvested area and overall production of mushrooms in ontario have seen a steady increase since the year 1983. Along with this, the average price of mushrooms has also increased. However, the availability of mushrooms per person in canada has decreased based on data from 2008 until 2018. According to statistics canada, there was also an increase in canada"s total harvested area and production between the same years of 1983 and 2020 (statistics canada, 2021).
