Repressive sanctions: restore social links on a symbolic level. Organic solidarity: we are all dependent on each one"s individual jobs in order to work together. Restitutive sanctions: restore social links on a material level. Talcott parsons: primary function of law is integrative. Conflict theory: society is in a perpetual state of conflict because of limited resources. Social order is maintained by domination and power rather than consensus and conformity might makes right.
