. A yeast cell has a temperature sensitive mutation in the gene that is involved in mating between yeasts of opposite mating types. The yeast cells do not mate at 37 degrees (restrictive temperature) but do mate at 30 degrees (permissive temperature). Would you expect the introduction of a gene from mice into this mutation to facilitate mating at the 37 degrees? Why?
