In a population of 100 individuals, the number of homozygousrecessives is 4. Let’s assume that you can distinguish theheterozygotes from the homozygous dominants. There are 80heterozygotes, and 16 homozygous dominants.
b. What is the frequency of each allele?
c. What would you estimate the allele & genotype frequencies tobe if you only knew that there were 4 homozygous recessives out of100 individuals, and you knew nothing else about the population’sstructure?
Thanks!
