I have 300 mg of an equal mixture of benzoic acid(acid), ethyl4-aminobenzoate(base), and 9-fluorenone (neutral organic).

The mixture is placed in 5ml vial to which 2mL of ethyl acetate isadded. The vial is shaken to dissolve the solid. To the solution, 1mL of 3M HCl is added and shaken again. A phase boundary waspresent.

What are the compounds in the top organic layer?
What is the compound is the bottom aqueous layer?

I really need help understanding the chemistry here...:(
