Given information

The given circuit diagram has more than one emf source and many loops

points to remember

  • Kirchhoff’s voltage rule - Kirchhoff’s Voltage Law states that the algebraic sum of voltages in a closed path is equal to zero that is the sum of source voltages is                                            equal to the sum of voltage drops in a circuit.
  • Kirchhoff’s Current Law- It states that the algebraic sum of currents at any node is zero.

Always choose to go either clockwise or anticlockwise while writing the equation in the beginning and stick with it.

Step-by-step explanation

Step 1.

Using Ohm's law

Where,

          is the voltage

          is the current

          is the resistance

We can apply KVL in the left loop

                                          ...(1)

Apply KVL in the right loop

                                ...(2)
