If determinism isn"t true then it"s a random decision. Determinism- the world it was in the past, it was determined which way you will go. But if you thrown in determinism in the world then it doesn"t help. And we are not free even if it"s just random event. Hard determinism - claims d is true. If we have free will then we need to go between determinism and non determinism: freedom and d are incompatible, we do not have freedom of will. Libertarianism (not political theory: we do have free will, d and freedom are incompatible, therefore, determinism is false. Soft derterminism: determinism is true, we have freedom of will, therefore, freedom and determinism are compatible, valid argument. If we are not free then no one is ever responsible for any action. Whether god knew what people would choice if they are free. Some people thought god knew, cause then we wont be free.
