He was able to show how social forces inluenced suicide rates. The case: examined the association between the rate of suicide and rates of psychological disorder among diferent groups. He found that psychological disorders occurred mostly when people reached adulthood. But suicide rates w. age marriage reduces temptation to commit suicide due to social ties. Social relations exist in micro- (face-to-face), macro- (impersonal), and global- (cross-country/culture) social structures.
