Primary component is similar to common substance abuse prevention programs, which try to in uence attitudes and behaviour by teaching participants facts about the legal, physiological and psychological consequences. Secondary reduces the duration of the disorder by detecting it early. The secondary component parallels suicide prevention programs which aim to encourage students who are suicidal/experiencing an eating disorder to seek help, the program tries to reduce stigma. Attempting to accomplish both goals at once may be futile as ideal strategies for each type seem to oppose each other. Measures of data collection (what is measured, # of times, and how) Time 1 questionnaire was lled out by 509 students at the beginning of their freshman year, 88 more answered only demographic questions.
