We re so self-effacing as canadians that we sometimes forget the assets we do have that other people see. We are one of the most stable regimes in history. We also have no history of colonialism. Commonly think that columbus was the first to discover north. People from western europe were frequently in north america for a long time: when the indigenous people saw people approaching they quickly got in their canoes and tried to sell and trade their goods. Western europe was in an economic decline: reliant on the capital from the gold and silver that came out of mexico. It appears to me, that the people are ingenious, and world be good servants and i am of opinion that they would very readily become. Christians, as they appear to have no religion. columbus (?) Christianity was culture, was civilization (at the time of columbus)
