Go to the doctors for life course events, and their reproductive role with the health care interaction. Men: don"t show weakness, stay strong, suck it up. Contributes to higher rates of illness being reported for women: medicalization: has occurred at greater rates for women, more women"s life has become medicalized (parenting, dieting).
