Management and entrepreneurship: often i find that i am at my best when i do small, simple things for the betterment of others. Instead of getting worked up over my own performance, i began to put more energy into helping my younger teammates feel prepared and excited to race rather than nervous. By taking the focus off of myself, i was able to help other people- something i feel i do best. When i stepped up to the starting line for my first 1000m race of my senior season, for the first time i was more concerned about helping my seventh grade teammate cross the finish line than myself. I also felt i was at my best this past summer when i worked as a camp counselor. The position was very tough, much tougher than it needed to be. One day in the middle of the summer, my good friends decided to publicly quit.
