Document Summary

So nb that it is considered as 4th germ layer. Different regions have different neural crest cell forming after neurulation: cranial n. c (anterior, facial features, cardiac n. c (posterior, septum and valves in heart, trunk n. c (dorsal root ganglia, vagal/sacral n. c (provide neurons in digestive system) Cell matrix adhersion molecules that aid in migration. Integrin receptor on cells, binds to fibronectin (outside cell) and actin (inside the cell: a lot of cell skeleton rearranged, fibronectin is considered as the highway for cell migration. Important for: cell adhesion, cell migration, formation of epithelial sheet. Path with which cells migrate made by this protein (rgd) in extracellular matrix. Within the cell: control of actin and integrin: neural crest cell (melanocyte) travelled to claws. Rho, rac and cdc42 proteins: blue eye = default eye colour. Inability of neural crest cell to migrate to eye and change eye colour. Probably death on that portion of the ear.
