Background and context

Enzymes are also known as biological catalysts as they perform a function similar to catalysts within a living organism. The enzymes work by reducing the activation energy of the reaction. There are six classes of enzymes, wherein, the kinase is a class. The kinases are the enzymes that add phosphate groups to molecules. The phosphatase does the opposite of kinase and removes phosphate from molecules.
