Background and context

Small green plant vegetation makes up the majority of terrestrial plants. Grass, trees, mosses, ferns, gymnosperms, and hornworts make up the vegetation. All terrestrial plants have reproductive organs that are unique to them. Heterogeneity or metagenesis are terms used in biology to describe the alternation of generations. It depicts the transition between an asexual and a sexual phase in an organism's life cycle.
