Background and context

Stem cells are the specialised types of cells that has ability of evolving into different types of cells .

Stem cells are of three types ,from which two are :adult stem cells,and embryonic stem cells.

Adult stem cells found in small number in almost all adult tissues such as bone marrow.

Embryonic stem cells are obtained from inner cell mass of the human embryo.

Totipotent cells are those cells which have the potential to make any type of cells and tissues in the body.

Multipotent cells are cells that already started to specialize and are not able to produce all types of cells.
