It has now been six weeks since my first day attending my service learning setting and i have spent three hours once a week every tuesday and i cannot believe i have already spent 18 hours in the classroom. I am placed in a grade 5/6 split class at power glen elementary school, with about 24 students and for this reflection i will refer to the classroom teacher as ms. white. The classroom is very ethnically diverse with many students from different cultures and backgrounds. The grade fives are separated in the seating arrangement from the grade sixes. I do not have a great memory for the students who are in five or six because the activities they do when i am there applies to both grades, but some students i do know. These activities vary from week to week but i normally have little chores to do when i get there in the morning.
