Freud"s psychosexual development: oral: chewing, sucking, biing are chief pleasures. 13-36 months: phallic: genital self-simulaion, triggers oedipal and elektra complexes. 3-6 years: latency: represses sexually, and develops social and intellectual skills. Oedipus complex: male child desires to replace same-sex parent and enjoys afecions of opposite-sex parent. Electra complex: female child desires to replace same-sex parents and enjoys afecions of opposite-sex parents.
