I arrived at the art gallery of hamilton (agh) to meet with the curator, melissa, to do our interview. We did not realize, but we actually were arriving well before the opening hours of the agh. The lights were off, and the doors were locked. To gain entry, we were asked to use the side entrance on summers lane and talk to security. Little employees were there, just security and janitorial staff. After the interview (which will be discussed in depth with its respective assignment), tanveen and i hung around, waiting for the small cafe to open up to get coffee. The staff were extremely friendly, especially the docent at the front desk who would prove to be an invaluable asset throughout the day. We decided to do our participant observation within the gallery. I met a young man and walked with him throughout the gallery discussing the accessibility, representation, and in general our opinions of the art.
