N is the # of degrees of freedom, l = # number of line segments, c = # of circles, ca = # of circular arcs, e = # of ellipses & ea = # of elliptical arcs. Write out equation on the exam for marks. Any object can be defined by its boundary. Edges each face is bounded by edges. Vertices each edge is bounded by vertices.
