You will be presented with 10 short passages, all drawn from the required readings in the course pack (no rachels reading) You will be asked to select 5 of these passages and to write a single paragraph about each. These passages will be drawn from the long-list of 25 passages provided on the course website. The author of each passage will be identi ed for you on the exam. No need to write/defend a thesis; really just to see whether or not you understand the concepts. In your response, you should aim to show that you have understood the main ideas contained in the passage. Plan to spend ~10 minutes on each response. You will be presented with 3 essay questions, all on topics covered in the nal three weeks of the course.
