5 core theories of social psychology role theory: everytime your role changes, it creates a change in behaviour. Key term under cognitive theory: cognitive dissonance theory: if you have a deep believe but you don"t act upon it, you have a sense of internal conflict, discrepancy between attitude and behaviour and change either behavior or attitude. Symbolic interactionism theory: emphasis on social interactions with people, the way you become moulded with people is based on social interactions. Family nd friends shape who you are, sense of negotiating behaviour bw indiv and indiv or invidv and group of people. Homework: go into a social environment and examine people (musc, library) examine people and write about how their behavior relates/misrelates the four concerns of social psychology. Process in which you would use to develop your morals. Process when you obtain your morals and values. Universal model, and other cultures are able to understand this model.
