People think we should apply regular morals to the cyber world: this is an applied ethical approach. Ideas are drawn from moral ideas and axioms. An alignment of moral intuition and moral reality: the world is ever changing, ex. piracy used to be stealing from blockbuster, but now we torrent with less guilt. We"re told the(cid:455)re the sa(cid:373)e (cid:271)ut (cid:449)h(cid:455) do(cid:374)"t (cid:449)e feel that (cid:449)a(cid:455) Intellectual property used to have relatively policies to protect new things by patents or copy rights. Privacy: ex. a teenager would video tape himself doing star wars stuff, people found the video it went viral. Was the joy we got worth his humiliation. We have certain moral obligations: ex. saving a child. We typically only assess voluntary actions: the choices we make. We try and justify impartial audiences: moral philosophy is the study of the reasons we have to voluntarily act.
