The wall of bowman"s capsule: this wall is made up of podocytes, there is a cell body and the rest of the body are finger like projections, these finger rat around the glomerular capillaries and interdigitate, the walls of the glomerulus and walls of bowman capsule form a molecular sieve, solute must be small enough to for through those spaces in order to fit through those spaces, molecules small enough to get through do so regardless of if they are desired solutes or waste products b/c this is a molec filtration often called ultrafiltration, this is what gives the permeability layer. The endothelial cell wall, basement membrane of the fenestrated capillary, and the podocytes of bowman"s capsule(its inner wall) amount of filtrate formed: kidneys get about 20 25% of cardiac output, 15 20% of that cardiac output is filtered, the amount filterd is depedneon glomerular filtration.
