Witchcraft- definition; it is a term that defines what is wrong and immoral. A witch is someone who brings misfortune to members of a community. The source of the evil is a supernatural power that lies within the body of the witch. A person who behaves in an antisocial behaviour is a good target for people to start thinking she is a witchshe acts weird so she must be a witch. It provides a set of cultural behaviours for dealing with misfortune. Christians- catholic---- they identify witches by; people who renounced the catholic faith and devoted themselves to the devil. They think that these "witches"" have powers because they made a pact with the devil. In europe, witchcraft was becoming seen as a mixture of sorcery and witchcraftit is then that witchcraft became a crime against not only society but god. ***witchcraze; end of the middle ages (1450)lasted for about 200 years!
