Modern communication: new methods of communicating through technology complicate effective communication. In class example: you wouldn"t fire someone over text because it doesn"t appeal to pathos, but rather through face-to-face or a letter: not always easier to communication through technology dependant on the situation. In class example: when you start a new business, social media would be effective to reach a large demographic and you wouldn"t want to read a letter on why someone started a business. Should the mode be verbal or non-verbal and how so: think about your language; must consider grammar because it helps communication with other people. The more precise/accurate you are, the better form of communication and everyone will be on the same page. Do the visuals enhance the presentation: must think about how the other party will internalize the message considering the needs of the related party.
