Principal of transformation that the stimuli & responses created by stimuli are transformed/ changed while it is being perceived. The stimulus we perceive through our eyes is electromagnetic energy (light) and is transformed into electrical signals for our nerves to communicate the stimulus and our perception are not the same thing. Transduction - change of environmental energy to nerve impulses. People are more aware of horizontal and vertical changes in orientation then diagonal. Change b/w horizontal lines to vertical lines is more likely to be noticed then a change from diagonal lines to diagonal lines rotated.
